Honey hoisin ginger chicken wings

Serves: 4 | Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 40 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1kg Chicken wings

  • 2-3 tbsp Ginger (finely grated)

  • 3-4 cloves Garlic (finely grated)

  • ½ cup Hoisin sauce

  • ¼ cup Honey

  • Spring onions (optional)

  • Sesame seeds (optional)

METHOD

Step 1
Preheat oven grill to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2
Prepare the chicken wings - keep whole or separate into wings and drumsticks.

Step 3
Combine the chicken, ginger, garlic, hoisin sauce and honey in a large bowl. Toss until well combined.

Step 4
Place the chicken wings on the baking tray and bake for 20 minutes. Turn over and bake for another 20 minutes.

Step 6
Place chicken wings on the serving plate (Optional: sprinkle sesame seeds and/or spring onion).


TIPS

  • If possible, marinate overnight for tastier chicken wings.

  • For the first 20 minutes of baking, have the chicken wings’ skin-on side facing up.
